A birthday is always a good reason to visit a restaurant.
But note to self – never let my good friend RL organize a birthday dinner celebration again – especially if he’s planning on visiting the casino earlier in the day.
Rick’s birthday was a disaster. The plan had been to meet at Mamma Grazzi’s for 7PM but when Aline and I showed up 10 minutes early – no reservations had been placed and that was probably due to the fact no reservations were allowed – and there was a lineup of at least 6 people in front of us. No one showed up by 7:15 so we went for a walk ourselves and tried again later. This time Eric & Jen were there but still no birthday boy.
Had veal with brandy. Nice sauce. Excellent roasted potatoes and vegetable side.
With his “secret plans and clever tricks,” the Enormous Crocodile desires to lunch not with but on a nice, juicy child.
