Friends of ours gave us a gift certificate for Taj Indian Cuisine Restaurant near the Coliseum movie theater as a wedding gift almost two years ago. Lucky for us it hasnt expired and we took advantage of my mum being in town to babysit Hazel to go out for a sit-down lunch date.
Service was quick and pleasant. Our waiter encouraged me to go with the butter chicken but I had a hankering for Tandoori so we went with the Tandoori chicken platter, some excellent vegetable khorma, rice and naan bread. It was pretty good eats. Only the naan bread was disappointing as it came heavily buttered and ended up feeling greasy instead of warm and filling. Nevertheless, Id go back if there were dinner plans and a movie in the works rather than eat fastfood at the theater.
Making monsters is Dr. Nutt’s specialty. Her best creations are the Yummy Mummy, the Boogie-Woogie Man, and her masterpiece, Dracula-la-la! who loves to sing Opera music. It’s music to Dr. Nutt’s ears, but the villagers don’t like the idea of singing vampires roaming around their town. When they storm her laboratory they are in for a pleasant surprise.
