The stench of microwaved brussel sprouts was floating through the air this evening so I told Aline she should bake a cake to freshen the atmosphere. The following conversation ensued:
Aline: You’ll have to buy me a new cake pan.
Steve: Hazel, should we take some money out of your allowance to buy mummy a cake pan?
Hazel: No!
Steve: Hazel, should daddy pay for the cake pan?
Hazel: No!
Steve: Hazel, should mummy pay for the cake pan?
Hazel: Yes!
