What with the crappy week I’ve been having Aline took pity on me and made me a cake last night. The pumpkin-spiced one with the orange zest icing. It’s very yummy. Even more yummy than the ones I remember you making.
Maybe you should make one as well so I can compare.
That email encouraged the following exchange:
Janette: For so long, I wondered what a walking stomach looked like. Now I know. (and wouldnt a different variety of cake be more interesting?)
Trish: If Steves able to pull off a good pirate, he might get some cake.
Aline: The man is a glutton… In the last two weeks Steve has had cake several times….For his birthday I made him a cranberry cheesecake, then he had a carrot cake at his sisters, then a chocolate gingerbread (like blackforest cake but better) at his moms. I made him the pumpkin cake yesterday and he is having cake again tonight for my nieces birthday! … yet he keeps asking for more.
Making monsters is Dr. Nutt’s specialty. Her best creations are the Yummy Mummy, the Boogie-Woogie Man, and her masterpiece, Dracula-la-la! who loves to sing Opera music. It’s music to Dr. Nutt’s ears, but the villagers don’t like the idea of singing vampires roaming around their town. When they storm her laboratory they are in for a pleasant surprise.
