Early morning start as Hazel woke me up at 5:45 AM to get ready for our annual community garage sale. I banished her back to bed and we got up at a slightly more reasonable 7AM. Sunny skies bode well and we were set up before 8AM. Our lemonade sales hit close to $40 even though we had smaller crowds than past years. Managed to clear out more – ahem, treasures – from our stockpile and I’m now down to just six boxes for future years.
Good bye to a pair of Little People sets, the race car track, Hazel’s first two bikes and assorted puzzles, games and books which brought in another $50.
Hello chinese dinner with our profits!
Making monsters is Dr. Nutt’s specialty. Her best creations are the Yummy Mummy, the Boogie-Woogie Man, and her masterpiece, Dracula-la-la! who loves to sing Opera music. It’s music to Dr. Nutt’s ears, but the villagers don’t like the idea of singing vampires roaming around their town. When they storm her laboratory they are in for a pleasant surprise.
