Hazel has shown interest in trying out the beaten-up tricycle the neighbors gave us now that the weather has turned warmer. At first she could only go downhill and needed help with a good push coming back up the street. She got frustrated very easily and would stamp her feet and say “I do not like this!” whenever she couldn’t figure out whether to push forward or back with her feet on an incline. But over the past couple of weeks she’s gotten much better and she really only needs a nudge now when she hits a big curb. She’s even ridden her tricycle all the way to the library where she exclaimed to Aline “My feet are tired!”
Worth repeating
Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved. — William Jennings Bryan
