There are two approaches to selling items at a garage sale: keep your prices high to maximize your profits or discount stuff deeply to get rid of your junk. I prefer the latter. So I was pretty happy to make $17.70 at the Blackburn Hamlet Community Garage Sale this morning and get rid of a 1980-style exercise bike, two ancient sewing machines, an old CRT computer monitor as well as other miscellaneous junk in the process.
Now if Aline had only managed to not spend $22 on a dehydrator and an exercise mat we might have come out ahead!
